STOCKKEEPER

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain, the incumbent will assist with managing the day-to-day functions within the Stores Warehouse.  The incumbent will supply parts and materials, as requested, by user departments and maintain accurate records of these transactions.  This position will provide support by maintaining inventories, stocking shelves and preparing correspondence for the purpose of purchasing minor supplies, equipment, or services.

Hourly Rate: $33.90 - $44.10 per our Collective Agreement with IBEW 636

AS THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT, YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE INVOLVED WITH:

  • Perform cycle counts; monitor, record and report inventory levels and discrepancies to the Manager, Supply Chain;
  • Shipping and receiving all material(s) tools, and equipment;
  • Issue, return, ship and receive materials to or from user departments or suppliers and input these transactions into the computer systems;
  • Process received goods including: shelving, and disposal of packaging. May include manual lifting (40 lb.) and carrying of goods;
  • Prepare and type various reports such as monthly inventory, or maintenance performed to provide written documentation of activities or properties;
  • Issue safety equipment and materials and WHMIS information in coordination with the Health & Safety department;
  • Automate report generation for weekly and monthly reports;
  • Organizing internal systems to ensure easier access;
  • Organizing material in the warehouse for easier access;
  • Other duties as assigned. 

WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER

  • Working towards a post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or related field;
  • Strong computer skills, with a preference to individuals that have experience using an inventory software (MRP/Planning) system and Microsoft Excel;
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment and materials;
  • Possess a valid ‘G’ license with a clean abstract.
  • Attention to detail;
