ERTH (Holdings) Inc., a subsidiary of ERTH Corporation, is currently welcoming applicants for the available position of Accounting Supervisor within our Financial team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Supervisor takes a hands-on approach to overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities, supervising two accounting resources, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This position works closely with management, providing financial reports, budget preparation, forecasts and is ideal for a motivated individual with strong accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This is an in-person position, located in Ingersoll, ON with a standard 37.5-hour work week.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the GL and oversee financial transactions, including journal entries, inter-company charges, and reconciliations.
• Co-ordinate, prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Support and collaborate with various business units to prepare the annual budgets and assist in preparing financial forecasts.
• Ensure timely submission of government remittances.
• Assist with external auditors as required, ensuring they have the necessary information and documentation to complete their audits efficiently and accurately.
• Collaborate with management and provide financial guidance to executives, operational teams, and corporate leadership.
• Communicate effectively with management and department heads.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• University degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• CPA (CA, CGA, CMA) designation required.
• Minimum 5 years in financial analysis, planning, and management-level experience in financial reporting and cost accounting.
• Advanced knowledge and practice of forecasting and budgeting principles.
• Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is highly regarded.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and ERP conversions is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
