JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Distribution Engineering & Asset Management, the Manager, Asset Management & Technical Standards drives the strategic leadership, technical standardization, and long-term lifecycle optimization of Hydro Ottawa’s distribution assets. The Manager, Asset Management & Technical Standards is responsible for defining and enforcing robust engineering standards, and balancing system design safety and Protection & Control philosophies with long-term asset lifecycle analysis. A core responsibility of this role is delivering strategic guidance to ensure best-in-class asset performance while proactively meeting escalating customer expectations for reliability, electrification, and grid safety. By embedding ISO 55000 lifecycle principles, the Manager, Asset Management & Technical Standards ensures that all physical assets, and the distribution system as a whole, are safely standardized, accurately evaluated, and strategically sustained to maximize long-term value.

This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
Hydro Ottawa offers a Hybrid Work Model. Hybrid work is position specific, details of the hybrid model will be discussed with successful candidates.
