ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the VP, Regulatory & External Affairs, the Grid Edge & Conservation Program Manager will play a crucial role in the delivery of Oshawa Power’s electricity demand side management (eDSM) and regional planning, implementing Ontario Energy Board (OEB) policies including related to non-wires solutions and customer connections, and progress other innovation-related initiatives. Situated within the Regulatory & External Affairs team, the candidate will work collaboratively across departments, and especially with the engineering department, to lead technical analysis for a variety of workstreams.
We are seeking a proactive individual who demonstrates strong initiative and a sense of ownership in their work. The ideal candidate will contribute ideas, provide critical analysis to vet and support ideas, be curious about energy efficiency, emerging distributed energy resources and technologies and be willing to adapt to new concepts and opportunities.
This newly created position offers an annual salary range between $100,000 and $130,000. Final compensation and position title will be based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. AS THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT, YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE INVOLVED WITH:
The primary function of the role will be to manage the implementation of electricity Demand Side Management in Oshawa Power’s service territory, working with our industrial, commercial and institutional customers to assist them in identifying, analyzing and pursuing energy savings and management opportunities. The role will work closely with Oshawa Power’s Director, Communications & Stakeholder Relations and VP, Strategic Partnerships to build relationships with Oshawa Power’s larger customers.
The Grid Edge & Conservation Program Manager will also represent Oshawa Power in GTA East Regional Planning, working closely with the Manager, Distribution Design & System Planning.
The Grid Edge & Conservation Program Manager will also support system planning including implementation of non-wires solutions and customer connections policy, a Distribution System Operator platform, eDSM (stream two) programs, grants and other strategic initiatives taking place at the grid edge, as needed.
