Operations Engineer/Technologist

Wellington North Power Inc. has an immediate opening for an Operations Engineer or Technologist.  The incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of the business systems of the Operations Department.  In addition, the position will develop and maintain an asset management program, complete all necessary design work and assist in the management of the operations department. 

The Major Systems Include: 

• ESRI Geographic Information System or Mapping System;
• Survalent SCADA System;
• Metering Equipment and Systems (AMI); and
• Project, Budget and Inventory Management Systems. 

Candidates must have the following minimum qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Professional Engineering License or Community college diploma in Engineering Technology with CET;
• Geographic Information Systems and AutoCAD experience;
• SPIDAcalc design experience is an asset;
• Organization skills to ensure proper time management and work planning and scheduling;
• Demonstrated knowledge and working experience in electricity distribution and field maintenance; and
• Exceptional customer service experience and skills.
