ERTH (Holdings) Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of ERTH Corporation, has an immediate opening for a

Meter Department Assistant in our Metering Services Division. ERTH is located in Ingersoll, Ontario, and is looking for an individual with proven experience to join our team. 

This exciting position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team and diversified program. The Metering Services Division provides a wide variety of service offerings to utilities, retail and industrial customers in the areas of:

  • Meter verification as a Measurement Canada-certified, ISO 9001 compliant Accredited Meter Verification (AMV) program
  • Wholesale metering as an IESO-registered Meter Service Provider (MSP)
  • Field services 

In addition to the required qualifications, skills and experience set out below, the successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-starter and problem solver who is willing to learn, enjoys working in a team environment and, above all, is committed to excellence in everything they do. 

As a Meter Department Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing, inspecting and sealing electricity meters in the AMV meter shop on behalf of Measurement Canada, organizing the meter shop, shipping and receiving, as well as other duties as assigned. 

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Electrical Techniques Certificate or equivalent would be an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License
  • Experience working in an ISO-certified environment beneficial
  • Effective verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Effective problem solving and organizational skills
