Greensaver's leadership team has decades of experience implementing energy efficiency, conservation, and demand management solutions on behalf of utilities, municipalities, and businesses. Our team consists of experts in program management, program design, marketing and outreach, customer support, building retrofits, and energy auditing.  

Objective

The Director, Program Management is responsible for the oversight, monitoring, reporting and the overall performance of all residential, low income and commercial programmatic activity. He/she will be directing a team of Program Managers, coordinators, and analysts, while working closely with Operations, Finance & Administration and Business Development groups as well as with senior client representatives. A positive track record with previously managing program delivery is preferred while experience in home services, energy conservation, contract management and/or dealing with utilities, small businesses and social housing providers would be considered a definite asset. If you have a relevant background that will leverage Greensaver’s resources, partner with clients and other stakeholders, and provide efficient services to residential and business customers. The Director, Program Management is responsible for ensuring programmatic success, by directing, monitoring, and reporting on individual programs performance, the acquisition of new business through partnerships and increased participant enrollment, while achieving established program targets and performance indicators, through effective management of the program management teams. He/she will also be the senior Greensaver client relationship representative. The Director, Program Management will be also focused on developing and continuously improving program delivery efficiencies, and will have outstanding strategic, organizational and leadership abilities.

Job Status: Full-time / Permanent

Reporting To: President & CEO, or another person designated by Greensaver

Primary Responsibilities

Monitoring, Oversight and Program Growth 

  • Responsible for coordination of program delivery activities
  • Tracks and monitors key metrics/performance indicators to ensure attainment of program targets while identifying risks.
  • Defines and develops program processes and continuously interacts with other departments and convey recommendations for improving program performance
  • Issues and deploys recommendations directed at optimizing program delivery and the achievement of targets set by management
  • Identifies tactics designed to attract program participants and support program delivery goals
  • Develops partnerships with contractors to successfully acquire new business
  • Oversees compliance with program rules and requirements
  • Communicates with key clients as needed
  • Provides market feedback to the President & CEO 

Reporting 

  • Develops program forecasts
  • Completes regular monitoring, management and reporting of the program delivery
  • Communicates program results and delivery recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Designs and delivers periodic reporting for GS Executive Management to assess program performance 

Team Leadership 

  • In cooperation with human resources, manages recruitment, performance, training, coaching and development of the Program Management team
  • Directly manages individual Program Managers and indirectly other program management staff
  • Provides leadership and advice on conflict resolution
  • Creates development plans, fosters skill progression, and maintain effective teamwork 

Corporate 

  • Works closely with the President & CEO to ensure strategic focus and alignment with organizational growth plans and targets.
  • Provides continuous feedback to Greensaver’s President & CEO
  • Works closely with peers and senior management to align strategies and solutions:
  • Oversees and manages department budget, focusing on exceeding goals, quality standards and cost efficiencies
  • Enforces company policies consistently and in an equitable manner
  • Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned by the President & CEO
  • The President & CEO of Greensaver may amend responsibilities, role and reporting structure, from time to time, in line with changing organizational strategy, structure and roles. 

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • University degree in business or industry related fields, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 7 years progressive program/service delivery and personnel management experience
  • Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • An entrepreneurial approach and a proven track record
  • Strategic oversight with a hands-on management approach in daily activities
  • Outstanding strategic, organizational, team building and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, delegation, management, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with superior team building and coaching abilities, both as a leader and a team member
