ENWIN Utilities Ltd. is currently accepting applications for the position of Director, Information Technology (IT), reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services & CFO. This position provides the vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. The Director IT directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations and strategy to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development. 

The Director, Information Technology is responsible for all aspects of the organization's information technology and systems including the assessment of long-term, corporate-wide information needs and develops overall strategy for systems development and hardware acquisition and integration. The Director consults with and advises other departments and affiliates on information technology management needs and problems. It is heavily focused on continuous improvement efforts and effectively meeting the internal and external customers’ needs. This position is responsible for the overall effective design, implementation and operation of information systems and applications. Develop, manage and deliver the Cyber and IT risk identification, profiling and assessment programs corporate-wide and actively participate in Cyber and IT risk committees and audits, and manage Cyber and IT risk reporting and measurement. 

The successful applicant must have the following qualifications, skills and competencies:

  • University degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 15 years of demonstrated progressively responsible experience OR College diploma in Computer Science or related discipline with 20 years of progressively responsible experience
  • Results oriented, analytical, highly credible professional with relevant senior level experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-functional areas of IT and Cyber Security.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is an asset.
  • Current with latest and anticipated trends and influences.
  • Experience in the Utility industry and familiarity with regulatory requirements are considered assets.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strong customer focus (internal and external).
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and excellent interpersonal skills including ability to build positive and productive relationships with many groups.
  • Ability to lead, influence, mentor and motivate staff and provide clear direction to others and effectively prioritize.
  • Demonstrated experience working in team-oriented collaborative environments.

As a prerequisite, it is a requirement to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
