EVSTART is a fully-funded startup – a joint venture between Wyse Meter Solutions Inc. and Elexicon Group Inc. – dedicated to delivering electric vehicle (“EV”) charging solutions to multi-residential and commercial markets, as well as municipalities. Our goal is to be a prominent player promoting the adoption of electric vehicles through removing one of its largest barriers: the availability of accessible and reliable charging infrastructure.

 

CHARGING STATION PROJECT COORDINATOR

Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will be responsible for tracking, supporting, and managing electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) installation projects and operations. This is a six month contract position, which could lead to full-time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with a small to manage clean energy project inputs and outputs (i.e. subcontractors and trades)
  • Prepare EVCS installation project estimates and material lists;
  • Prepare documents and issue contracts for construction activities associated with EVCS install projects;
  • Administer/assess tender processes and responses and make recommendations on awarding of contracts for work on EVCS;
  • Assist with Proposal preparation, including to assist clients in integration EVCS infrastructure with existing building systems.
  • Prepare close out package submission for various clean energy projects;
  • and review to ensure triple bottom line performance of new projects;
  • Evaluate project risks and mitigation strategies;
  • Identify contract document conflicts and recommend solutions;
  • Preparing reports, sketches, and scope of work documentation to meet Ontario standards;
  • Tracking of progress billing, cost reports, inventory and quantity tracking;
  • Time sheet tracking for T&M works and deliveries;
  • Perform other tasks to assist the project manager and construction team as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of construction practices, standards and associated practices.
  • Knowledge of the electrical vehicle market, including charging technologies and vendors.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Excellent MS Excel and MS Word skills, AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Project and Construction Management skills, 2-5 year of experience is considered an asset.
  • Post-Secondary Education in Electric/Mechanical Engineering or all other equivalent programs.
  • Experience with RETScreen Clean Energy Management Software, or similar is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Energy Management practices is preferred
